Wellington, October 31. The TradesandLabor Council passed the following resolution—"Thafc this Council, whilst as as a Council avoiding active participation in politics, deplores and condemns any interference with or disturbance at political gatherings, and hereby calls upon all unionists under the banner of the Federated Trades Union Council to loyally assist in the maintenance of order at all such gatherings, and thereby help to secure the right of freedom of speech for political friends, and foe alike.
