[Ron press association] [Received October 24, 10.30 a.m.] RETURN OF A HOME RULER. London, October 23. The election for the vacancy m the Eccles seat, caused by the death of the Honl A. J. F. Egerton, took place today, and resulted m the return of Mr Roby, a Home Ruler, who polled 4901 votes, against 4696 obtained by Colonel Egerton, who stood m the Tory interest. The consistent support which Mr Roby promised to give to the Miners Eight Hours' Bill gained him the election.
