(Received October 17, 11 a.m.) NEW SOUTH WALES FINANCES. Sydney, October 17. Mr McMillan's budget statement last night shewed the revenue for the year as £9,426,000, or £97,000 over the estimate. He expects a surplus of £208,000. Customs show a decline of £133,000, which the Treasurer accounted for by the recent unfortunate occurrences. £40,000 had been carried forward from last year, and during the year £15,000 had been paid off the deficit. Allowing for these two amounts th« present year shows a total credit of £318,00 G. Out of fche surplus of £208,000 the Treasurer proposes to carry forward £58,000, and appropriate the balance to roads and bridges. He estimates the revenue for next year at £9,596,000, and the expenditure at £9,551,( 00. I
