The following was the work done after our yesterday's report was sent topress.v— Handicap Trot, of 30, soys ; second horse 7 soys, third horse 3 soys. Three miles. Othello ... +1 Silver Bell f2 . Kate , ... ..'. '. '3 Magpie, Zenobia, Star of Honptrv Home Rule, Jenny, lolanthe, Chuznee, and Poppett also started. The whole field of eleven started'for the three mile. For the first mile, Poppett, with her 50 seconds, led with a good rake, lolanthe, the pnny Chuznee, and Silver Bell following ii the order named. Poppett, breaking badly, gave place to Silver Bell and Ktte, who wore m first and second place past the stand. Taking the railway sweep Zenobia showed an inclination to move up, and passed Othello and Kate coming close up on the leader. A break, however, put fyer back again. Then Silver Bell made a break and allowed Kate to lead for a chain cr two, Othello being, second. A quartet of a mile from the winning posifc Silver Bell, Othello and Kate were m close company, and at. the distance Zenobia joined the troop, and the quartette kept together for a space. At the rails the last comer broke, and the three remaining contended m any interesting run home, which closed m a dead heat, Othello saving a beating just at the post> and Kate a length behind. Time— Othello (28sec) Bmin 33secs, and Silver Bell (34sec) Bmin 49secs. In the run off Silver Bell led until the end of the second mile, where Othello drew level and going on won vorjr easily by twenty lengths. Time—Bmin 4dsec< Dividends—first race, £6 2s; run off £15s. District Handicap Trot, of 15sovs ; second horse 3 soys. Two miles. IWountjoy 1 ; Miss pare ... ... ... 2 Grace Darling 3 Marengo, Maud, and Poppet also started. Mountjoy soon went to the front, and the race from'this out wan simply » procession, tha mare winning by any number of lengths from Miss Cave, and another large gap separating second and third. Time—(imin 41sec. Dividend—£3 19». Contoiation Handicap Trot, of lOaovs. Two miles* Dolly 1 iSemolina ... , 2 Grace Darling if Kate, Quail, and July also started. . Dolly led all the way. Time—(Jnrin 15see. Dividend, £11 3s.
