Replying to a question m the Assembly as to whether the Orient Company refused to ship butter m the refrigerating chambers of their steamers, the Minister of Lands said this had to be done m consequence of pressure on space owing to demands of the meat trade. He trusted to be able to make satisfactory arrangements with the. Orient and P. and O. Company, antf lse\Y Zjeajand steamers to obtain ample space,
