Wellington, October 15. Ex-Constable Gillespie, who formerly ■held the position of clerk of court and bailiff at Manaia, and whose trial for perjury was set down at Wanganui Supreme Court, when the Grand Jury threw out the bill, is on his way to Wellington to lay the matter before the Government. Bib object m coming to Wellington is to put all the facts before Government, to apply for a refund of the cost, about £250, which he was obliged to bear m defending himself against the Crown prosecution, and to claim damages for loss he has sustained.
