ADDiNGTON. Chrisxchukch, October 8. The weather mas glorious to-day, but too dry to give general satisfaction. The attendance was very large, and the entry of stock, particularly m fat departments, was gpod. Stoke Siteep.--About 1700 weiti yarded, which all found purchasers at good prices compared with the last few wiles. Some very good half-bred hoggets brought from 12s to 14s 7d. A nice line of two-tooth crossbred mixed sold at 13s 6d ; merino wethers brought up to 10s. ¥k'L< LAMBS^A*very "good entry of principally good quality. Lambs realised a speedy sale, and brought from 9s to 15s. FAT SnKEK-Ovef 6000 were yarded, the quality being very varied. Several lines of ' shorn wethers were sold, and price perlb realised for these was estimated to be from 2|d to 3|d. Unshbrn sheep went as follows : — Heavy crossbred wethers from 18s to 23s 3d; crossbred ewes and light wethers brought from 13s 6d to 16s. Some medium quality merino wethers sold at from 14s to 15s 6d, and others' realised more than this. „ A general clearance was effected, but the price all round showed a drop of about 6d a head from last week. \ Fat Cat-ele.—One hundred and eighteen , head were yarded, one or two specialties ' bringing fancy prices. The general average of beef was of medium quality, and ranged from 24s to 26s 6d per lOOlbs, nearly all being Bold under the hammer. Store CATTLE.,-^There was a fair entry of young stock of different qualities, but m many instances these were withdrawn from sale, and only small lots changed hands at rates much on » par with last week's quotations. Three-year-old steers up realised to £316s ; two-year-olds, 37s 6d to £2 9a ; yearling*, mixed, 18s to 265. Pigs.—There was only a small entry, wholly of porkers; which realised 2£d to 3d per lb. „;
