Wakanui Road Board.
The monthly meeting of the Wakanui Ko.id Board was held on Saturday. Present — Messrs Bruce (chairman), Brown, Megson, Johnston, and Leadleyi COIUtESFOXDEXCE. Perpetual Leases. —From the Receiver of Land Revenue; advising the Board of the payment to the Board's credit of £90 15s 6d, being thirds of receipts derived from Reserves 1467, 264, 2165, 1497, for the period ending 31st January, 1890. , Reserves 264 arid 2165.- From the Commissioner of Crown Lands forwarding plans of Reserves 264 and 2165, ' and requesting the Board to mark on the plans the. roads intended to be opened up for the benefit of the selectors. '- CHRISTIE'S UOAD. ' A petition was received from a number of ratepayers praying the Board to form part of Christie's Road, from Charing Cross to the Boundary Road.—lt was resolved to form the piece between Charing Cross to Winter's Road,* fenders to be m by next meeting. It was resolved to give public notice that it is the Board's intention, ai a meeting tp be held on Saturday November Ist, 1890, to strike a separate rate; of five-eighths of a penny m the £ on the mtenble value of property m No. 2 Ward, and three-eighths of a penny m the £ ion the rateable value of property m Nol 3 Ward for the period, commencing on the Ist day of April, 1890,|incl endinjf on the 31st day of March, 1891, payable m one sum oil Saturday, November 15, 1890.
