, Tallow, mutton, 25s Gd ; beef, 255. The English wheat market has a downward tendency, the Continental is steady and the American improving. New Zealand wheat, on passage, 365. Colonial oat 3, common quality, command an average price of 22s 3d. The quantity of wc«l catalogued up to date is 195,400 bales, of which 185,800 have been disposed of. Sales are proceeding with a diminished attendance. Biddings are less eager, and prices have a drooping tendency. The decline is chiefly m- inferior and faulty merinos.
