London, October 2. New' Zealand hemp is m poor demand. One hundred and forty bales have been sold at a decline of 10s per ton. At the wool sales bidding is spirited. Crossbred and clothing merinos are very firm. Faulty sorts are irregular. The present series close on the 10th inst. The price of frozen meat remains unchanged. A cargo of Australian wheat has ljeen sold at 35s 3d; Adelaide wheat' 37s 6d, but market is flat; Victorian ditto 375, business restricted.
