Wellington, September 27. At a meeting of delegates from various labor bodies Messrs F. H. Fraser, W. McLean, and T. K. McDonald were selected as the labor candidates for the city. It was from this conference that rhe local branch of the Seamen's Union withdrew, not the Labor Conference called by Govemme nt. The candidates for Wellington on the Government side will be Messrs Bnthie, H. D. Bell, and Mentoith. New Plymouth, September 27. A requisition asking the Premier to stand for New Plymouth has been numerously signed.
