Mount Hutt Road Board.
The usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Thursday, September J.l. All the members present. It was resolved to advertise the following resolution "On account of the action of the County Council m not 'making proper provision for the storm water to crOss the Lyndhurst-Caimbrae road, b\e Mount Hutt Road Board cannot take any responsibility m case of any accident occurring from the state of the road." The matter of the Blackford roads was left m the hands of the Chairman. It was re- ! solved to vail tenders for re-shingling about 1| miles of the West Coast road and portions of the Chertsey road near Methven and Mitcham. It was decided to sue without further notice for , all rates not paid by next Board day. It whs decided to send m the account of J. Black's confcrapt for repairs to the Bridge road cuttings to the County Council. Mr J. Black was granted extension of time on his shingling contract. Correspondence was read from the Receiver of Crown Lands revenue advising the Board of money paid to their credit. Received from the Ashburton County Council re planting reserves, i Received from the same re storm water, I Lyndhurst-Caimbrae Road. — Received. Accounts amounting to £63 17s were passed for payment. &Jr -h Blake's tender for repairs to West Coast Road and to Broom Park Rord was accepted. Mr J. Blair's tender for clearing tussocks and repairing crossings on the High Bank Road was accepted. No tenders for cutting and stubbing gorse or for leasing the Recreation Reserve were received and the matter was left m the hands of the Chairman.
