Ashburton District 1.0.0. F. M.U.

The half yearly meeting of the above district was held m the Templar Hall, Tinwald, on Wednesday last, at 4 o'clock. Prov. G.M. J. Corbitt presiding, Dep. G.M. W. F. Soal m the vice chair, Guardian J. Allen, Prov. C.S. andß.Minnis delegates from the various lodges m the district, were m attendance. The meeting being duly opened the business sheet was gone through, which was of a very light character. At 6.30 o'clock a P.G.s meeting was held, when members holding the necessary certificates received their respective degrees. The minutes of the meeting being read and confirmed the Lodge, was closed m due form. P.S. J. A. Clothier, on behalf of the Tinwald Lodge invited the District officers and delegates to a banquet, which was heartily appreciated by the brethren and visitors. The usual toasts were proposed and responded to. A number of songs and recitations were excellently rendered, and altogether a very pleasant evening was spent.
