■' The " Age " states that New Zealand seems inclined to adopt a similar policy to Newfoundland m regard to Federation, but the presence of some of her leading representatives at the Convention wonld have been none the less welcome on that account. The project to be discussed is so complicated, and fraught with such far-reaching consequences, that it is desirable to obtain all assistance possible from every legitimate quarter. The "Age" adds that it is to be regretted m the fresh proposal of the New Zealand Government no opportunity is afforded for the Opposition as well as the Ministry being represented, and it hopes that Sir George Grey will rerisit Australia, and take part m the deliberations.
