Death of Mr Jones, M.H.R.

We regret to announce that Mr Frederick Jones, M.H.R. for the Heathcote, died at about 3 o'clock this (Monday) morning. He had been ill for some months, and had received leave of absence from Parliament during the present session. Mr Jones was a member,of the Selwyn County Council and m other ways had taken a prominent part m the..local government of the -district for manyyears. It will be remembered that he was a member of the Sweating Commission which sat during the Jaeb recess. Mr Jones was a painstaking and conscientious public servant, and the news of his death will be received with much regret.—" Lyttelton Times."
