(by telegraph from our own correspondent.)
Wellington, September 3. It is probable an effort will be made by some members of the House to prolong the session until the, present labor diffi-^ cxilty is settled. It is understood that Ministers nowsee their way to a continuation of the 'Frisco service, but as to what their plan is they are very reticent. Ocean mails resolutions will be brought down on Monday next, and are almost certain to provide for 2£d postage to England. Sheep returns for the colony show an increase of 697,995 upon last year's figures, the total flocks now numbering 16,120,423 sheep.
