In addressing a meeting at Liverpool, Mr Henry George, m referring to Federation, said the only obstacle m, the way of welding together the English-speaking people was the absence of Freetrade m several of the Anstralian colonies. New South Wales w-a.B an exception, and with Freetrade was rapidly becoming prosperous. Referring to the unemployed difficulty m Australia, Mr George said he was convinced the cause was due to the locking up of land.
