Buda Pesth, August 23, A Hungarian estimate of the wheat crop of the world is 725,000,000 hectolitres, that the demand for export would be 123,000,000, and that 148,000,000 would be available. (Received August 25, at Noon.) Tallow, medium mutton, 25s 3d ; ditto, beef, 24s 6d. For New Zealand wheat on passage sellers are asking 30s 6d, but buyers will not give more than 365. Colonial oats, common sort, average 23s 6d, " ! A cargo of wheat, per barque Glenlora, from Timaru, sold at 375. Since the close of last series of sales the wool market has been quiet. Fresh arrivals to date total up to 158,400 bales, of fwhich 26,000 have been sent forward. Reports from manufacturing districts are satisfactory.
