Thomas (late of Matson Cot and Co), reports upon the Lire Sfcoek Market, for the Ashburbon, District for the week ending August 12bh, as follows :— On Tuesday atTinnraldlheld my usual weekly sale of aheep, Cattle and pigs.The total entry for the day consisted of 1990 sheep, 36 cattle and 36 pigs, of which I sold 1128 sheep, 24 pigs and 14 cattle. The attendance was a email one, bidding rather slack and a drop of 6d to 9d took place on all classes of sheep. Fat cattle are are now m good demand, and full prices were realised. The f oliowing> are the prices for fat cross bred ewes, 13s 3d I to 13& sd, mixed cross bred merinos 11s 15d, In stores, 4 and 6 tooth, threequarter fat, 14s lid ; cross bred ewes m lamb, poor condition, 7s 8d to 9s lOd. Merino lines, also m poor condition, 5s 3d to 6s lid. In pigs all small, 6s 6d, 7s, 8s 3d to 12s. Fat cattle £4 15s £5 17s 6d, £6 7s 6d ; springers. £3 17s 6d to £4 ; old cows £2 15s.
