I At a meeting of the Southland Trades and Labor Union to-night the political platform formulated by the Maritime Council was adopted, three planks being added thereto, vtek, abolition of the Legislative Council, establishment of a State Bank with control of the note issue of the colony, and, pending the establishment of a State Bank, that the funds of the colony be distributed among all the New Zealand banks. It was resolved to urge the Southland members to support the Labor Bills now before Parliament.
