WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. CONDUCT OF COURT BUSINESS. Sir Frederick Whitaker, replying to Mr Reynolds, said that the Government could not control the manner m which Judges conducted the business m the courts. The courts were open to the public, but chamber business was conducted m private. If the Government interfered with the Judges they would be told to mind their own business. AUCKLAND HOSPITAL RESERVES BILL. The Auckland Hospital Reserves Bill was read a second iime. The Council adjourned at 2.40 p.m.
