San Francisco Service.
Wellington, July 28. The Postmaster-General has not yet received a reply from the United States Government, in answer to his message asking whether the Mails Subsidy Bill had passed both branches of the American Legislature. Unless a reply is received to-morrow, Mr Mitchelson will again wire asking the fate of the Bill. In the event of the Bill having passed, Government will at once recommend a renewal' of the San Francisco service, and they have no doubt their proposals will be adopted.
