London, July 25. Persistent rumors are afloat that
unless arbitration is resorted to, railway men.^l strike m a fortnight for 60 hours"*'* week. The Directors threaten to close railways and also cardifF docks and collieries. One hundred and fifty thousand men will be affected. (Received July 26, 12.150 p.m.)
