CASUAL LABOR AT LYTTELTON.
Wellington, July 24. Messrs D. P. Fisher and Brown, the wharf laborers' delegates to the Maritime Council, waited on the Railway Commissioners requesting that the rate for casual labor on the Lyttelton wharf be increased from Is 6d to 2s per hour. The Commissioners agreed to make the concession.
