The Council met at 2.30 p.m. LEPROSY. The Public Petitions Committee recommended Dr Bakewell's petition, j which prayed that steps be takeu to pre-' vent the spread of leprosy, to the favorable consideration of Government. LAW OF LIBKL BILL. The Law of Libel Bill was read a ffrst time. IMPREST SUPPLY BILL. The Imprest Supply Bill passed its final stages. EDUCATION RESERVES BILL. The Education Reserves Bill was considered m Committee, and reported with trifling amendments. The Council rose at 3 p.m.
