Jones, who was injured m the Players' match, is laid up, and Woods, of Cambridge University, is unable to take part owing bo his sustaining an injury. Burns has, therefore, been included m the Australian team. The colonials went first to the wicket, and were all out for 132, The principal scorers were Lyons 55, JJarrett 9, Turner 24, Murdoch 9. The Englishmen have lost four wickets for IS ; W. G. Grace caught 0, W. W. Read caught and bowled by Ferris 0, Gunn run out 14, Shrewsbury stumped 4. Tho fifth wicket of the Englishmen put on 72 runs. The Australians' fielding was brilliant. Eighteen thousand people were present to witness the match.
