Wellington, July 22. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. PETITION. A petition was presented from Dr. Bakewell, of Auckland, praying for the appointment of a Committee to enquire into the increase of leprosy m the colony. BILLS REPORTED OX. ! The Committee reported on the Agricultural Bill and the Education Reserves Amendment Bill, and recommended that both should be allowed to proceed. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL BILL. The Legislative Council Bill was com-^ mitted, and on the motion of Mr McLean progress was reported and leave given to sit again on Tuesday next. The Council adjourned at 3.35 p.m.
