A Deputation from the Auckland K?iights of Labor waited on the Directors of the Kauri Timber Co. re grievances with their employees, involving different hours of work in different localities, the truck system, charging commission on men's cheques for wages, and other matters. The Directors expressed great surprise that such grievances existed, and promised a searching inyestigation and ample redress if charges were found to be ture ; and meantime authorised the deputation to wire to timber stations that the men were absolutely free to purchase stores wherever they please.
