CLERICAL POLITICAL RIGHTS.
Shipowners are determined not to concede the demands of men, as they consider they are altogether unreasonable, but they are willing to increase the pay of officers. Ship-owners also decided to join the Steamship Owners Association, and will sign a bond providing for the formation of a fund for mutual protection.

Adelaide, July 18. The outcome of the agitation of the Ministers Association for rights of citizenship has been that a motion has been carried m the House of Assembly allowing ministers of religion to hold seats on Municipal Councils.
