Interruption, of Cable Communication.
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.], Wellington, July 11, The Telegraph Department advise:— "Both cables from Port Darwin to Banjoewangi are interrupted near Banjoe wangi since 7.30 a.m. Roebuck Bay to Banjoewangi is also interrupted near Banjoewangi. By this interruption the Australasian Colonies are cut off from telegraphic communication with the rest of the world. No explanation is given as to the cause of the interruption."
