[per press association.] London, July 7 to 9. The directors of the Union Bank of Australia have declared a dividend of 15 per cent and carry forward £15,000. The police strike has collapsed, and the men have resumed their duties everywhere unconditionally. The Grenadier Guards disclaim any^ intention to mutiny, and assert that' they mistook the hour for parade. The Grenadiers confined to barracks have been released. Pekin, July 7. The Chinese authorities threaten to exclude Americans from China unless the embargo is removed. The cholera has made its appearance m China. Washington, July 8. Intense heat continues throughout the United States, and many additional cases of sunstroke are recorded. Constantinople, July 9. The Porte demands the evacuation of Egypt by England, but would grant her a limited right to occupy m the event of any internal danger.
