London, July 2. The wicket was sticky and difficult. : Turner got six wickets for 16, and Ferris four for 30. The Australians m their second innings lost nine wickets for 75, when the innings had to be declared closed m consequence cf the rain. Jones played a very good not-out innings for 29. Spofforth secured six wickefcs for 42. (Received July 4, noon) London, July 3. The cricket match, Australians v. Derbyshire, was drawn. The Australians began a match with a Staffordshire Eleven at 'Stoke to-day, and at the 'adjournment for lunch, the former had lost three wickets for 14 runs.
