The usual monthly meeting of the Board was held on June 12. Present— Messrs M'Millan, Browne, Cameron and Hibb.s. It was decided to call tenders for re-shingling about 50 chains of the Alford F»rest road, and for repairs on the West Coast road.—Letters were read from the Chief Surveyor re road through R.S. 25353. It was decided to let the matter stand over to the next meeting for consideration.—From the Bank of New Zea-. laud, Rakaia, re deposits. Received. — From the Ashburton 'County Council declining to refund monies expended by the Board on the Rakaia Gorge cuttings. Received.—From the same, informing the Board that the County Council would resume charge of,fords and culverts on water races. Received.
