A most disorderly meeting t^ok place last night over the Compensation question. The meeting was called in the first instance by Sydney the licensed victuallers for purpose .of protesting againstthe non-payment of compensation to publicans; but the Locai Optionists turned up in force, took possession of the meeting and passed an' amendment" in favor of Local Option, with no compensation.
