Addington Live Stock Market.
Christohuech, June 11. There was, a gqod attendance at the Addington market to-day, and business was brisk in most sections. Store Sheep.—Only about 2000 stores were penned, of which the majority were' small crossbreds of no particular pretension to quality, and a few lines of old sheep. Two-tooth crossbreds, mixed, realised from 8s 9d to 11s 9d, and som«" sound mouthed ewes fetched 7sl One line of crossbred ewes in lamb brought 8s 2d. Some merino wethers sold at 2s lOd for boiling. Fat Lambs.—There was a very small entry, and but little demand for anything but the primest quality, some pens of which realised up to 18s. ■ ?- 1 ' Fat Sheep.—Over 6000 yarded, the greater portion bring ewes. A few very nice lines of crossbred wether muttbn sold freely for export. There was an apparent slackness in the market at first, but it was evident that the price of best quality mutton did not warrant th.c, quotation of a drop in price, "' Fat Cattle.—Small entry, comprising
130 head, but the quality" was decidedly above the average. Best sorts r lßato 20s per XOOlbs j inferior, from 13s upwards.
Stork Cattle. —There was a fair entry of odd lots of daily and store cattle, but the business <?one was not brisk except for good sorts of dairy cows and springers, which brought good prices. Pig;;.— There were about 600 pigs, nearly all baconers of good quality.
