■ Mr David Thomas (late of Mataon, Cox and Co.) reports upon the Live Stock Market for the Ashburton district, for the woek ending May 27th, as follows :—On Tuesday at the Ashburton yards I held my usual weekly sale of sheep, cattle and pigs. " There was a total entry for the day of 10,463 sheep, 15 cattle, and 30 pigs, of which I aold (5086 sheep and 10 pigs.
