London, May 26. The "Economist" says, that, theoretically, it would prefer to see the Bank of New Zealand put in liquidation and reconstructed, but such a course would involve additional hardship and losses. It is desirable, therefore, to transfer the headquarters to London, and replace the local managers by new men, bound by hard and fast rules. :
