As a result of the trouble which recently occurred on board H.M.S.: Egeria, it is probable that Lieut. Helby will resign his post on that vessel and join HIM.S. Rambler, which is under orders to proceed to the China station. • . . ."

It is understood that an enquiry has been held into the conduct of the officers of H.M.S. Egeria by Captain Barlow, of H.M.S. Orlando,; and it has been ascertained that a notification issued by him states that the crew had no special cause for mutiny.
