There was an average entry of sh6ep yarded, and most of the lots realised values equal to late quotations. We sold the following lines :—Crqssbred lambs,, 9s 6d, Bs, 5s 4d; merino lambs, 3s 9cl; crossbred ewes, 7s Bd. We sold privately a line- of merino wethers at 5s 6d. The cattle trade was very dull indeed ; in fact the butchers seemed quite indifferent whether they bought or not. 'We submitted 15 head of very prime steers and heifers, which had to be passed in ; but we subsequently sold privately 11 head at £4 15s to £5; cows,- 60s co £3 ; bacon pigs, 31s 6d, 325, 32s 6d.
