Bland arid Humphery3 report for the week ending 20th May:—Saturday's entry consistsd > 27 horses. The demand, was again rather slack. However, we sold a fair proportion of the better sorts at good values. A 6-year-old draught gelding brought £22 10s; two 3-year-olds, £18, £15 ; aged draught mares and geldings, £14, £14 ss, £15. £12 10s, £7 and £5 10s. We sold a number of old hacks at low prices. We had buyers present for a few good young horses, but could not supply them. Sundries—Oats, 4s 6d per sack ; straw chaff, £2 per ton; potatoes, 2s lOd to 3s 6d per sack ; onions, ifd-per lb ; carrots, 3s per bag ; bran,, 4s '6d; sharps, 5s 6d ; £rap, £13; gun, «£2 10s.' !
