UNCOMPROMISING ATTITUDE OF FRANCE. [per press association] Paris, May 17. M. Ribofc, Minister of Foreign Affairs, states that France is quite decided to maintain her rights in Newfoundland, and that the onodus vivendi was only adopted in order to avoid a conflict. The Chamber of Deputies has adopted a resolution relying on the promise of M. Ribot to uphold French rights without any limitation.
