The quarterly meeting of the ABhburtoir\< Lodge, No.-29,1.0.G.T.; waplield in the / Templar Hall on Friday; last;-' jTtfe Lodge;; was opened, in the usual manner;by the C.T. at .7.30, and a : large,',amount of J ■•: business was dealt with. . One candidate ■ • ] was initiated and four accepted-by clear-,;, ance. The reports of 'the' various 'officers 7 for the past ninH-'f*1 * received, shoiring the Lodgo duriiiL' thil quarter to have : more than doubled its membership, and ■- also to be in.a sound financial condition. During the evening the Lodge resolved to change , its . place of meeting, having succeeded in bbtainirig'-rooms more suit--able and convenient for Lodge purposes. A< recess was granted'when refreshments were handed round,*,'afteV which the installation of officers was proceeded with, D.G.C.T., Brq (Mowayi installing the following officers':—Bro Pearson, P.C.T.; Bra Welch, C.T.; Sister Peansbn, S. C.T. made a fewwell chosen remarks, also thanking the Lodge 1 for the honour conferred on him by electing him unopposed to the highest office the Lodge cou]d| offer; hhxi. The junior P.C.T/ alsotooK occasion to congratulate the -Lodge on their choice of officers for the coming quarter, making special mention of the newly elected C.T. 4 " Bro Welch, and hoped that, during his term of office^the -Lodge would; Bhow their appreciation 'bfhis services'and support him in the responsible position, he* occupied.
