Addington Live Stock Market.
There was a good attendance at the market on "Wednesday which'was brisk. _ Store Sheep.—There' were-less of this 'class than usual, ; only about 2000 being yarded. Nearly all were sold, at advanced rates. \ ;-, bound mouthed . merino ewes realised 1:.3s 6d ; store lambs' 7s to _8s ; merino wethers in good forward condition 7s, while «i,few-lines of crossbred ewes | fetched from 6s to'9s./... . ; [ , Fat Lambs.—TherVwas^ again a very fair entry, of which a good'many .were prime'freezers which'sold at from 12s 6d to 14s 6d/'" ;.' ,,,-. . • I Fat Sheep.—About 5500 were yarded of whichthere.was a;fair proportion of good quality mutton. There was not the eager, demand by exporters that occurred last week, and in. consequence there was a drop'equal td abouti Is per head on* best "sheep, and up to ls;,6d per head on inferior quality., : \ The best realised . was 17s 9d in lieu of 21s last week;f:but there,were no,sheep in; to compare with these latter. Best wether mutton fetched fully "2M per lb and there were some pens which fetched a trifle above this. Fat t Cattle. —There was only a moderate entry of beef. Of 156 headyarded there, were only about 30 steers and,*these suffered a drop on last;quotations .though^th^y were in a minority.' Beef realised from. 12s to 17s 6d. : •■'*'!' Store'. Cattijb/—^Thf^'e was a fair entry of odd lots, chiefly dry* cows and j young stock, but therfr was an absence of good quality steers or heifers.
