East Street Horse Market.
Bland and Hjumpherys' report for the week ending 12th April:—We had again a very large entry of horses, viz., 33, of which 18 changed hands. The greater portion consisted of aged draughts and inferior hacks. All. good young sound horses found purchasers at fair prices, viz: —Draught mares, 5 to 7 years old, £17 to £23 ; do geldings, £15 to £19 ; aged mares and geldings, £9 15s to £12 10s ; hacks and harness horses, £G 10s to £12; crocks, £2 lOs to £5 : set buggy harness, ,£3 17s 6d ; collar harness and winkers, £1 Is to £1 3s ; pigs, porkers, 13s ; poultry, Is 6d to 2s 6d per pair ; furniture i at fair rates, We also held a clearing sale at Tinwald j Sale Yards of Mr C. Jephson's furniture and effects, There was a very good attendance considering the Aveather, and qi\ tho whole things fetched very fair value. Milch cows, £4, £4 10s; Jersey bull, £1; buggy harness, £5 ; hacks, £6 •to £10; American trotting gig, £8 10s. Sundries at very satisfactory prices. I
