SIR F.N. BROOME.
Sir F. N. Broome informed the Colonising Committee of the House of Commons that it would be useless to attempt any scheme of sending emigrants to Western Australia under a hundred thousand pounds. Sir T. Campbell stated the stagnation from which that colony was suffering, was entirely the result of the Colonial office refusing to permit borrowing.
