It is believed the King of the Belgians desires to sell his personal interest to the Emperor. 1 ■ Zanzibar, April 14. The Germans have persuaded the new Sultan of Zanzibar to cancel a portion of the British Company's concessions. ' The representative of the British East Africa Company declines to accept the Sultan's cancellation of privileges. London, April 14. Sir James Ferguson stated in the House of Commons to-day that the news of the Portuguese expedition to Mpondo, Shire, has not been confirmed. Germany has assured England that the operations of 'Emm Pasha will be confined entirely within the German sphere.
