South Rakaia School Committee.

The usual montlily meeting was held on Monday. Present—Messrs Hardy (Chairman) Oxley, C. Dixon, Hardy, Shannon and Liddy. The Chairman reported that the result of Professor de Loree's entertainment was £2. Mr Oxley proposed that this Committee vote for Major Steward as a member for the Board of Education, seconded by Mr C. Dixon, and carried unanimously. The Board' of Education forwarded a circular stating that owing to being poverty stricken, no further gymnastic apparatus could be provided by the Board.
