TINWALD SCHOOL.

Correspondence was read from the Board of Education stating that a vacancy in their Board/had occurred,, and asking

the Committee to norriinate one person. It was proposed and seconded unan\ mously that this Committee supportMajor Steward for the" same. The-chairman stated that the school concert had proved a financial success, for after paying for prizes, books, and expenses connected with same, there was a balance of 7s 5d in hand. It was decided to hand this sum over to the master to help to buy a football for the use of the school. Messrs Smith and Low were appointed as the Visiting Committee for the month, with power to have certain necessary works done at once. The chairman paid in 17s 6d on behalf of the Presbyterian Sunday School for the use of the schoolroom, and the Committee adjourned. ' i
