Mount Somers Road Board.
The usual monthly meeting of the above /. Board was held last Monday. ,'- Present:! Messrs Walker (in the ohair), Hood amd Chapman. The Overseer's report was read and - considered.—Resolved to call tenders for a supply of shingle to be delivered on the Alford Forest and Springburn Tramway Road.
Mr W. McClimont interviewed •the Board and asked for-an entrance to be made to his cottage.—Resolved that if Mr • McClimonfc will not-accept the pipes offered, the Board will give sufficient shingle to make an open crossing. - * Mr John Stephenspn interviewed the Board and asked for a grant in aid of a foot bridge which is Wanted on his road. —Resolved to give him £5 towards the * cost of building ihe subject to i the usual condition. , _ ~^

' *':, The Clerk was directed to notify; HlwV" all rates unpaid after the 30th April, would be sued for without further-notice. TENDERS. * ";■'- A tender was received from Mrs:A. A^ Wright, for the purchase of the cottage -~ for the sum of-£2lo.—On the motion of Mr Walker, seconded by Mr Hood, it .was resolved to accept the same. '*^ : Tenders were opened for the •rection of a fdot bridge over Bowyer's, Stream, and that of Mr John Hutchison, at £75 3a 6d. was accepted. , Tenders were opened JfoM drain on the Swamp K>ad near Mr'Efde'sV'but^they being considered too high ; the Overseer was instructed to call for fresh tenders. ANNUAL MEETING.
