Earthquake Wellington, April 10. A sharp shock of earthquake was felt here at 2.45 this morning. It was of I short duration, being more like an underground upheaval than a quake, and its direction was apparently between north and south. A. Smngrfrier fined Dunedin, April 10. Kerr, the Dunedin grocer, has been convicted of passing a large quantity of drained peel through the Customs as rind and brine, and fined £60 and costs. The goods attempted to be passed are valued at £150, and have been forfeited.
